What is property staging?

Property staging, or home staging, is all about making your home look its best when you put it on the market. It involves carefully curating a style that suits both the property and the market your property will appeal to. We coordinate everything from the ground up…furniture, rugs, art, lamps, soft furnishings and decorator items.

Why stage?

Firstly, homes which are well staged sell quicker and for more. Buyers are far more likely to walk into a styled property and think ‘yes, this home is for me’, over an empty one. Staging gives scale, depth and scope. Staging gives the ahhh and the wow. Staging gives ambience. It connects hearts with homes.

Secondly, staging looks better in photographs…and that’s what everyone sees first! A strong online presence is key. We employ techniques to position furniture and decor for best photographic effect. Whether your property is empty or you are living in your home until it sells, having it styled for photographs is game changing. First impressions count.

Can I get advice on how to style my home for sale?

Absolutely! I offer consultations to advise on the best way to work with your existing furniture and what can be changed for greater market appeal. I can even come and help you get it all photo ready.

What is the process for staging?

The first thing I do is visit your property to assess what is required in terms of furniture to provide you with an informed quote. It is important to check access, room size and make sure any quirks of a property are taken into account in person, rather than by looking at pics online which can be misleading.

Once you are happy with the quote, we can book in a day for the installation. Installation takes place after any trades have finished work and the property has been professionally cleaned.

I will prepare the invoice and contract and email them to you. You will need to read, sign and return the contract with the invoice remittance the day before installation.

Installation day involves my team and I moving everything in and setting up! In most cases, this will be complete in one day. You do not need to be present for the installation.

The staging contract is for five weeks hire. At the end of this period we can either remove the staging or you can choose to extend the contract week by week.
